Kratom is illegal in *Thailand, Myanmar (Burma), Denmark, and Australia. Some of these countries impose sever penalties for possession of this herb.

*Currently the Narcotics Board is looking forward to legalize Kratom in Thailand since Kratom is very much a part of the Thai culture. With this step, Thailand is hoping to export Kratom to the North American market.

Malaysia: In order to sell Kratom in Malaysia you must have a license issued by the government. In absence of this license, it is illegal to either plant, grow, sell or perhaps consume this herb for any purpose.
